A is for Alicorn: Free Colouring Page for Kids

Entry #01 · Spotted by Rory the Fighter

From Mike: What better way to start a new bestiary than to pay tribute to an old joke? A while back, we put an Easter egg on the CIRA.ca website. Type the Konami code and a rainbow Alicorn would fly across the screen. To this day, I have a fond place in my heart for Alicorns.

I wonder if it works here?

Where it comes from

A unicorn and a pegasus couldn't agree on who got the nicer stable. So they shared one. The Alicorn is what happens when nobody has to choose between a horn and wings.

What to look for

• The horn. Shiny and pointy. Perfect for scratching that itchy spot behind the wings.
• The wings. Big and feathery. They shed a lot. One good flap can make a brand new cloud.
• The hooves. Silent as a whisper. It can land on a roof without waking anyone up.

Party notes

• Rory: "I asked for a ride. It said yes. Best day ever."
• The Wizard: "Technically it's two magical creatures in one. I'm still taking notes."

Colouring corner

• Start with the big fluffy clouds, then work up to the wings.
• Rainbow or night sky mane? There's no wrong answer.

Mike's tip: There are a lot of colours in the rainbow. Alicorns can be any or all of them.
